Premium DNA toys (Megalopolis) has added some absolutely stunning Battletoads to their growing roster of nostalgic and iconic licensed brands. When we heard back in July of last year that Megalopolis was moving forward with toy lines of Barnyard Commandos and Madballs, we knew we were in for something special, but once they started cranking out the pics, not only were we blown away, we knew we had to have them.
Battletoads has always had a special place in our hearts, despite never being able to beat the impossible level that kept glitching, and yes, we were one of those die-hard fans who felt gutted when we found out the original toy line way back in the day was cancelled. After seeing these images from Premium DNA toys however, as well as the scope of the selection, it appears it was well worth the wait, and now we are, what's the opposite of gutted? Gut-full? Toy stuffed?
Anywho, Wave 1 consists of 6' inch figures of Zits, Rash, Rat Bones, and Porka Pig, a 12' inch General Vermin, and a 15' inch General Slaughter.
Like the Barnyard Commandos and Madballs, you can still try your luck through Bigbadtoystore, but short run figures like their Exclusive No Limits Trashin' Pumpkin sold out incredibly quickly, and that wasn't even with the PremiumDNA exclusive second head that collectors could only get through the pre-order.
We could talk about these unfathomably incredible sculpts forever, and once we have them in hand we plan to go into wayyyyy more detail, but for now let's just take a look at these beauties below, while you ponder how you can go get them while you can!
The Pre-order lasts until May 15 and comes with some nifty exclusives that you can only get if you go through their www.premiumdna.toys website.
“We are ecstatic to be adding these incredible properties to our growing catalog. Fans of Battletoads have been asking ‘where are the toys’ for decades, and we are answering that call with an expansive selection of characters and styles that will satiate the appetite of even the most diehard fans.” -Ben Westover, Creative Director/Co-Founder of Megalopolis
So cool!
